In the world in which Jesus lived and taught,
everyone had a vocabulary of words linked to kings and kingdoms. Therefore,
when Jesus said, “The Kingdom of Elohim is here;” members of his Jewish

The answer Jesus gave was very clear: “Unless your tzedaqah
exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the
Kingdom of Elohim.” Those who enter “The Kingdom of Elohim”

Jesus
clearly revealed the foundational requirements for being a member of his original
Movement. They are found in his interpretations of Deuteronomy 6, Leviticus 19,
and Isaiah 58. His interpretation of Isaiah 58 reveals a link to “life after
death.” However, as far as I know, no

O Israel: Yahweh (is) our Elohim (God). Yahweh (is) one! You shall love Yahweh your
Elohim with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” The
context began with the words, “Hear, O Israel,” which means, “Listen
up and obey!” This is followed by a
clear declaration of who the Elohim (God) of Israel is – It is Yahweh!
Next is the command, “You shall love!” I have two questions for you,
now. 1. Is love a concrete action or an abstract notion?

other night I was working on a translation of the parable of Jesus about
“destroying the Torah.” A CNN Breaking News announcement caught my attention.
Students on university campuses were shouting “death to Israel,”
“applauding what Hamas did to the Israeli citizens,” and shouting
“death to America.” What I was seeing made absolutely no sense!
