If a bunch of formerly dead people
walked into Jerusalem today, I promise you it would be breaking news on your TV
and phones. So, if there is any event in the New Testament that we should expect to find in every account about
Jesus -- wouldn’t you think it would this

Biblical Heritage Center Bible Studies are designed to help readers more accurately understand the words of their Bible. The goal is to discover what the meanings of the words were to their ancient author and teach readers how to use BHC's Linguistic Method of Bible Study in their own studies..

“The Real Yeshua” or a “Gentile Jesus”?
I
have been involved in this discussion about the Jewish Jesus for almost 30
years now and am amazed at how “Fact-Proof” religious people are. In the
mid-1980s when someone on a TV show mentioned “the Jewish Jesus,” it would generate thousands of letters and
postcards from people wanting to correct the idiot that said it – “Jesus was a Christian not a Jew!” By
2000, thanks to the Discovery Channel, the History Channel, PBS, etc., the tide
shifted and when someone mentioned the “Jewish
Jesus” people would say, “Of course
Jesus is Jewish.”
The
problem is that people seemed to think that “Jewish” was an “ethnic thing”,
not a “BS thing.” Oh yeah, BS means Belief System. They talked
about a Jewish Jesus, but kept saying that he taught a bunch of “un-Jewish things”!

What would Yeshua do?
What’s
the difference between the above question and this one -- What would Jesus do? The obvious answer is that the difference is
one word. Does that word really make a difference? Find out by reading the

What does “kick against the pricks” mean?
What
image comes to mind when you hear the biblical phrase “kick against the pricks”? There is no doubt in my mind that the
images that pop into 21st century American minds aren’t the same as that of
readers of the Greek text of Acts 1800 years ago. It is a very important phrase
that gives us a glimpse into the minds of the scribes that copied the Greek
text and their Gentile readers. Please share this blog with others, too! Read

Biblical Wisdom for Successful Living Today!
Wisdom and knowledge are related but not synonymous. The
dictionary defines wisdom as “the ability to discern or judge what
is true, right, or lasting.” Knowledge, on the other hand, is defined
as “information gained through experience, reasoning, or acquaintance.”
Knowledge can exist without wisdom, but wisdom cannot exist without knowledge.
One can be knowledgeable without being wise. Knowledge is knowing how
to use a gun; wisdom is knowing when to use it and when to keep it holstered.
We
are living in the Information Age, drowning in tsunamis of knowledge-claims. What’s
missing is wisdom! The Wisdom of the
Beginnings is recorded in the opening chapters of Genesis. It is packed with Time-Tested
Values, Principles & Insights that give those who understand them
distinct advantages in making successful decisions for living today – and it’s free! Got to -- http://www.tovcenter.org/wisdom.html

The Real Ten Commandments
Think about the Ten
Commandments. How many sermons have been preached,
books have been written, movies have been made, monuments have been constructed
and court cases tried in which the focus was on the Ten Commandments. Now what
would you say if I told you they weren’t about the actual Ten Commandments. Are
you ready for a surprise?
What they called the Ten Commandments in the examples above were not the commandments
written on the two stone tablets Moses received at the top of Mount Sinai and
brought down to the Israelites! If you are willing to follow Moses up and down
Mt Sinai, you will discover when he received the stone tablets and what was
written on them. The journey begins by going to – http://www.biblicalheritage.org/ten_commandments_p1.html
