Did Yeshua Do Away With the Law?

In my Christian denomination the doctrine that Jesus did away with the Law was very important. We made it clear that we were not like “the Jews” who were under the Law. We had “grace” and they didn’t. Read the complete article at -- https://therealyesua.blogspot.com/2018/08/did-yeshua-do-away-with-law.html

It’s a Yod -- NOT a Jot and Tittle!

Not only did Yeshua read and speak Hebrew, so did his followers and disciples! Two very well known, but not accurately understood words in the Gospel of Matthew prove it – jot and tittle. For some reason jot and tittle stick in the minds of Christian Bible readers. But when you ask them what jot or tittle mean, you get a lot of conflicting and some really weird answers. Today, you are going to get the facts about what Yeshua originally said and how they ended up in English translations of the Bible as jot and tittle. Yeshua read and spoke Hebrew at the Synagogue

Yeshua was a very skilled reader and speaker of the Hebrew language. Luke 4:16-17 provides us with important evidence that reveals just how skilled of a reader of Hebrew Yeshua was. It is time for Christians to agree on something very important.

We are amazingly good at objecting, disapproving and opposing everyone else’s Christian beliefs, as well as the beliefs of people of other religions and especially people with different political ideas. What if Christians could find a way to agree with other about one of the most important words of all – the name of the one we call “Christ”? How to Enter the Kingdom of Heaven

For most Christians, one of the most important words in their religious vocabulary is “saved.” Their mission is to save as many people as possible. Why? They have been taught that only those who are “saved” will spend eternity in Heaven with God. That was not the focus of Yeshua’s message. His goal was to bring as many people as possible into the Kingdom of Heaven -- while they are alive. He taught that it will only be those that live in the Kingdom of Heaven before death that will ultimately enter eternal life later. We will be learning much more about that in this series of discussions that we call “Yeshua’s Kingdom of Heaven Handbook.” We will reconstructing the teachings of Yeshua so we can understand them more accurately by incorporating new information that we discover as we learn about his language, culture and the time period in which he taught his followers. You Shall Come Up From Your Graves and . . . .

If a bunch of formerly dead people walked into Jerusalem today, I promise you it would be breaking news on your TV and phones. So, if there is any event in the New Testament that we should expect to find in every account about Jesus -- wouldn’t you think it would this one! “The Real Yeshua” or a “Gentile Jesus”?

I have been involved in this discussion about the Jewish Jesus for almost 30 years now and am amazed at how “Fact-Proof” religious people are. In the mid-1980s when someone on a TV show mentioned “the Jewish Jesus,” it would generate thousands of letters and postcards from people wanting to correct the idiot that said it – “Jesus was a Christian not a Jew!” By 2000, thanks to the Discovery Channel, the History Channel, PBS, etc., the tide shifted and when someone mentioned the “Jewish Jesus” people would say, “Of course Jesus is Jewish.”

The problem is that people seemed to think that “Jewish” was an “ethnic thing”, not a “BS thing.” Oh yeah, BS means Belief System. They talked about a Jewish Jesus, but kept saying that he taught a bunch of “un-Jewish things”!
