began with a grown man, Luke begins the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem. Shepherds were in a field guarding their
flocks when an angel appeared. The angel said, “Do not be afraid, for
behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For
there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Anointed
One of Yahweh.” And then a multitude of
the heavenly host joined the angel, praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, on the earth SHALOM, in men acceptance.” Your English translations do not say that –
